How and when can I begin spending my FSA money?

A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) has two parts: medical reimbursement and dependent care (i.e. daycare) reimbursement. With a medical reimbursement account a participant may spend his/her election amount as soon as the plan year begins. However, daycare expenses can only be reimbursed if contributions in the amount of the expense have been received here at S & A.
